Registration

Date: Tuesday, October 14th, 7PM

Location:  Navajo Room of the Kachina Lodge, Taos

Speaker:    Paul Williams

Subject:    Petroglyphs of the Taos Area

Twenty-three years of recording petroglyphs in north-central New Mexico!  Paul, with the help of many local volunteers, began recording petroglyphs quite by accident when they discovered the Big Arsenic Springs Petroglyphs during an archaerological inventory within the Rio Grande Gorge in 1985.  This group of  BLM volunteers formed the Taos Archaeological Society within a couple of years, and has been recording petroglyphs ever since.

This visual slide presentation documents some forty petroglyph sites located and recorded by the Taos Archaeological Society over the last two decades.

Please join other TAS members and our speaker for dinner prior to the meeting at Graham's Grille, at 5:00 PM.
